MoDOT Prepares for Next Round of Winter Weather

ST. LOUIS -- MoDOT is preparing for the next round of winter weather. Officials from the National Weather Service are predicting a second round of light snow to hit the area late night Sunday, Dec. 25, through early afternoon on Monday, Dec. 26. Cold ground and air temperatures will allow snow to readily accumulate on roads.

“MoDOT road crews will begin working Sunday night treating the main highways and roads,” said Bob Becker, MoDOT’s district maintenance engineer.  “We are encouraging motorists to stay off the roads to ensure workers can clear them and keep them clear.  Crews will continue working until all MoDOT maintained highways and roads have been cleared.”
