Harrison County I-35 bridge project now complete

Both directions now open to two lanes of traffic

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The rehabilitation of the Interstate 35 Pole Cat Creek Bridge, south of Bethany near mile marker 90, which began in March 2022, is now complete. Crews from Widel, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, were able to open all lanes of I-35 at the bridge, both directions, yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, Dec. 20.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
