MoDOT Announces Upcoming Improvements to Jefferson City Interchange

JEFFERSON CITY – Information is being made available regarding planned improvements to the U.S. Route 50/U.S. Route 54 interchange in Jefferson City. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is inviting residents and motorists to learn more about the project.

During the project, the ramp from eastbound U.S. Route 50 to eastbound U.S. Route 54 will be rehabilitated, including bridge deck repairs and an asphalt overlay on the driving surface. While work takes place, the bridge and ramp will be closed for approximately one month.  Traffic will be detoured to other state routes in the area.

The contract for the project is scheduled to be awarded in March, with the work to take place later in 2023. Motorists and area residents can find more details on this project by visiting modot.org/JeffersonCity5450.
