Clinton County Route J to narrow for utility work

ST. JOSEPH, Mo – Utility work will impact traffic on Clinton County Route J, from SW McComas Lane to SW Middle Road, beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 30. Scobee Powerline Constuction, working through a Missouri Department of Transportation permit, will replace utility poles tomorrow through Friday, Dec. 23.

During the project, the road will be narrowed to one lane at each work location from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, Monday through Saturday.

Drivers should stay alert and obey all traffic signs, barricades and flaggers to safely navigate through the work zone.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

MoDOT asks drivers to work with us by always buckling up, keeping your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones. Know before you go and check what work zones you might encounter at traveler.modot.org.
