Schedule changed: Expansion joint repairs for southbound Bond Bridge (I-35/I-29) on Nov. 15

 

JACKSON COUNTY – Due to inclement weather in the forecast, crews have rescheduled expansion joint repairs along southbound Interstate 29/I-35 (Bond Bridge) over the Missouri River to Tuesday, Nov. 15 through Monday, Nov. 21. This repair will require various lanes closures along southbound I-29/I-35 between Levee Road and Front Street. Motorists should expect delays in the area and are encouraged to seek alternate routes. All work is weather permitting.

  • Beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, the two left lanes of southbound I-35/I-29 will be CLOSED overnight until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. During this time, the area will be reduced to one lane.
  • Motorists can expect DAILY single lane closures along southbound I-35/I-29 during between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 16, until Monday, Nov. 21.
  • OVERNIGHT, motorists can expect southbound I-35/I-29 to be reduced to ONE LANE between approximately 7 p.m. each evening until 6 a.m. the following mornings beginning Wednesday, Nov. 16, through Monday, Nov. 21.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
