Girder Setting to begin near Katy Trail as Part of I-70 Rocheport Bridge Replacement Project

COLUMBIA, MO –Starting the week of Monday, November 7, the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will be restricting access to the Katy Trail to allow for crews to set girders along the new Lance Corporal Leon Deraps Interstate 70 Missouri River (Rocheport) Bridge over the trail.

MoDOT says the Katy Trail will be closed each day from dawn until dusk at the bridge access portion of the trail only. Work is expected to be completed by November 14. This work will not require any additional lane closures on I-70 at the work zone.

This project is expected to be completed by December 31, 2024.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed. For more information and updates about this project or other transportation-related matters, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.org/central.
