CASS COUNTY – Crews will be completing resurfacing work along various portions of northbound and southbound Interstate 49 that will require intermittent lane and ramp closures along I-49 between Harrisonville and Belton beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24 throughout the week. This work will require the following closures and motorists may need to seek alternate routes. All work is weather permitting.
Monday, Oct. 24
- Beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, until approximately 9 a.m. the following morning, crews will close:
- The northbound I-49 off ramp to 163rd Street
- The northbound I-49 on ramp from MO Route 58.
- The northbound I-49 on ramp from Commercial Street.
- The southbound I-49 off ramp to Commercial Street.
Tuesday, Oct. 25
- Beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, until approximately 9 a.m. the following morning, crews will have intermittent ramp closures including:
- The intersection of I-49 and Commercial Street.
- All four ramps of this intersection will be resurfaced, however, only two ramps will be closed at a time.
- The intersection of I-49 and MO Route 58.
- All four ramps of this intersection will be resurfaced, however, only two ramps will be closed at a time.
Wednesday, Oct. 26
- Beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, until approximately 9 a.m. the following morning, crews will close:
- The intersection of I-49 and MO Route 7 (275th Street).
- All four ramps of this intersection will be resurfaced, however, only two ramps will be closed at a time.
- The southbound I-49 on ramp from MO Route 58.
- The northbound I-49 off ramp to MO Route 58.
Thursday, Oct. 27
- Beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning, crews will close:
- The northbound I-49 on and off ramps ay Cass Parkway.
- The southbound I-49 on and off ramps at Peculiar Way.
- The southbound I-49 on and off ramps at Route C/J.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
