CASS COUNTY – Crews will be completing resurfacing work along various portions of northbound and southbound Interstate 49 between Harrisonville and Belton beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21 throughout the following week. This work will require various lane and intermittent ramp closures.. All work is weather permitting.
Friday, Oct. 21
- Crews will close the southbound I-49 on ramp from Route C/J beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, until approximately 7 a.m. the following morning.
- Crews will have intermittent on and off ramp closures at the intersection of I-49 and Commercial St. beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, until approximately 7 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should note that only two pairs of ramps will be closed at a time. Motorists may need to seek alternate routes during this time.
Saturday, Oct. 22
- Crews will have intermittent on and off ramp closures at the intersection of I-49 and Commercial St. beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, until approximately 10 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should note that only two pairs of ramps will be closed at a time. Motorists may need to seek alternate routes during this time.
- Crews will have intermittent on and off tramp closures at the intersection of I-49 and MO Route 7/275th Street beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, until approximately 10 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should note that only two pairs of ramps will be closed at a time. Motorists may need to seek alternate routes during this time.
Sunday, Oct. 23
- Crews will have intermittent on and off ramp closures at the intersection of I-49 at MO Route 58 beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should note that only two pairs of ramps will be closed at a time. Motorists may need to seek alternate routes during this time.
- Crews will have intermittent on and off ramp closures at the intersection of I-49 at Route C/J beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. Monday, Oct. 24
- Crews will have intermittent on and off ramp closures at the intersection of I-49 at Cass Parkway beginning at 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should note that only two pairs of ramps will be closed at a time. Motorists may need to seek alternate routes during this time. The right lane of I-49 in both directions will also be closed during this time.
- Crews will have intermittent on and off ramp closures at the intersection of I-49 at Peculiar Way beginning at 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should note that only two pairs of ramps will be closed at a time. Motorists may need to seek alternate routes during this time. The right lane of I-49 in both directions will also be closed during this time.
- Crews will have intermittent on and off ramp closures at the intersection of I-49 at Route C/J beginning at 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should note that only two pairs of ramps will be closed at a time. Motorists may need to seek alternate routes during this time. The right lane of I-49 in both directions will also be closed during this time.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
