St. Louis Work Zones October 20-26

ST. LOUIS – Motorists traveling I-44 in St. Clair, MO will soon be able to fully use the Route 47 entrance and exit ramps. The ramps have been either closed or limited to left-turns only on Route 47 during the construction of a new bridge over I-44. Crews are expected to have the project completed with the ramps, as well as all lanes on the I-47 bridge, opening on Friday, Oct. 21.

The new eastbound I-270 exit ramp to New Florissant Rd. is also expected to be open by rush hour Friday, Oct. 21.  The old ramp was closed and removed in September 2022 to allow crews to realign Pershall Road and build a new eastbound exit ramp near New Florissant Road.

Drivers traveling I-70 in St. Charles can expect two-lane closures at Zumbehl approaching bridge construction, as well as 15-minute intermittent full closures of the interstate while girders are being placed from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 20-21.  Crews will set girders on eastbound I-70 at Zumbehl on Thursday, Oct. 20 and westbound girders will be set on Friday, Oct. 21.  During the girder setting, one lane of Zumbehl will be closed each night.
