Where: Missouri Route 96 bridge over White Oak Creek in Jasper County near Avilla

When: As of 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 12

Details: This bridge closed in June while contractor crews replaced the bridge.

This bridge was included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

Contractor crews replaced the old bridge with a new structure, which is two feet higher, 16 feet wider and 15 feet longer than the original bridge and will include new shoulders.
