Traffic Alert: Lane and ramp closures scheduled for portions of southbound I-49 on Oct. 7 and 9

 

CASS COUNTY – Resurfacing work is scheduled for portions of southbound Interstate 49 at 163rd Street and MO Route 58 will require various lane and ramp closures this weekend. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and seek alternate routes if necessary. All work is weather permitting.

Friday, Oct. 7

Crews will CLOSE the rightmost lane of southbound I-49 and the exit ramps at 163rd Street and MO Route 58 beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, until approximately 7 a.m. the following morning.

Sunday, Oct. 9

Crews will CLOSE the rightmost lane of southbound I-49 and the exit ramps at 163rd Street and MO Route 58 beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
