JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will be making pavement repairs that will require the following closures on Monday, Oct. 3 beginning at 7:30 p.m. until approximately 5 a.m. the following morning. Motorists will need seek alternate routes during this time. All work is weather permitting.
- Crews will CLOSE the two left lanes of Independence Ave. between Grand Blvd. and Delaware St.
- Crews will CLOSE the off ramp from westbound Interstate 70/I-35 to Independence Ave. and Delaware St. This is exit 2D.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
