MoDOT to install electronic signs on I-70 at Wentzville Parkway/Route Z starting Sept. 21

ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Drivers on eastbound and westbound Interstate 70 between Wentzville Parkway and Route Z are advised to use caution and expect possible delays starting Wednesday, September 21, weather permitting. Crews will install electronic curve warning signs along this section of I-70.

The advance warning signs will be placed on both the median and shoulder of I-70. Work will begin in the westbound lanes of I-70 with nighttime work from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the right shoulder.

Daytime work will involve the installation of signs on the westbound shoulder between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. During the median work, the westbound left lane will be closed during evening hours from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Once the work is completed on the westbound lanes, crews will install the warning signs on eastbound I-70 with the closure of the left lane from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday.

This project is expected to be completed by the end of October 2022.
