MoDOT I-270 Project announces two Dunn Road closures September 19 and September 21

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who regularly use Dunn Road along I-270 should be aware that the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will close the eastbound lane of Dunn Road between Hanley Road/Graham Road and Coldwater Creek beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, September 19. The eastbound lane will be closed for two months to allow crews to replace the current highway entrance and exit ramps with new ones that will improve safety and reliability throughout the corridor. Westbound travelers on this portion of Dunn Road will be able to travel as normal, and maintain access to the I-270 westbound entrance ramp during the closure.

MoDOT also will close the eastbound lane of Dunn Road between Washington Street/Elizabeth Avenue and New Halls Ferry Road beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, September 21. The closure will allow crews to continue the conversion of Dunn Road to a westbound only, multi-lane outer road. During the closure and conversion, one westbound lane will still be available to travelers.

Drivers should consider using alternate routes for both closures.

The closures are part of the ongoing infrastructure improvements being made on the $278 million I-270 North Project.
