MoDOT to install temporary stop signs at the Cave Springs interchange at I-70 Monday, September 12

ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Drivers exiting eastbound Interstate 70 at the Cave Springs interchange and traffic heading eastbound on I-70 and drivers using Veterans Memorial Parkway may experience delays on Monday, September 12, weather permitting.

Crews will be installing four-way temporary stop signs at the eastbound I-70 exit ramp and eastbound I-70 entrance ramp at Cave Springs. A second set of four-way temporary stop signs will also be placed on Cave Springs at Veterans Memorial Parkway. Both sets of stop signs will be in operation Monday, September 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This work is part of lane shifts on Cave Springs over I-70 later this month in preparation for the construction of the new structure that will take Veterans Memorial Parkway underneath Cave Springs.

The Cave Springs and Zumbehl interchanges are being converted into single point urban interchanges (SPUI) for the I-70 Cave Springs to Fairgrounds Design-Build Project. When work on the interchange bridges begins, both interchanges will remain open to drivers.
