MoDOT changes access to Riverlands Way from Route 67 starting tomorrow

ST. LOUIS -Drivers who use Route 67 near the Alton, Illinois Clark Bridge should be aware of some traffic access changes to Riverlands Way starting this week.

After evening rush hour traffic on Thursday, September 8, drivers on southbound Route 67 leaving Alton wanting to exit to Riverlands Way will have to take the first right after the bridge onto the outer road. This 2-way road will travel under the bridge and take drivers to Riverlands Way. Drivers leaving Riverlands Way wanting to access southbound Route 67 will use the same outer road. This access will remain through the Fall of 2023.

In addition, drivers on northbound Route 67 will travel on one lane that will open up to two lanes. Drivers in the right lane will exit to Riverlands Way and drivers in the left lane will travel into Illinois. This traffic pattern will remain for 2 months. All detours will be signed.
