ST. JOSEPH, Mo – The Missouri Department of Transportation reminds motorists that Missouri Route 129 in Chariton County will close to all traffic on Monday, Sept. 12, for a bridge deck replacement. The prime contractor for the project, Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., will close Route 129 at the bridge over the Chariton River, 0.5 miles south of Route O, near Salisbury, on Monday, Sept. 12.
The bridge is expected to reopen before the Thanksgiving Day holiday. During the closure, traffic will be routed over a signed detour on U.S. Route 24, Route 5 and Route O.
All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
