JACKSON COUNTY – Crews have added additional closures to the bridge joint expansion repairs scheduled for today, Sept. 7, beginning at 9 a.m. Crews will be making repairs until approximately 5 p.m. along westbound Interstate 435 over the Blue River. Crews will closing the following areas during this time. Motorists MUST seek alternate routes during this time.
- Crews will begin to reduce the lanes of westbound I-470 at approximately Blue Ridge Blvd.
- Crews will close the ramp from westbound I-470 to westbound I-435.
- All westbound I-470 traffic will be forced to go either northbound on I-435 or southbound on I-49.
- Crews will also close the ramp from northbound I-49 to westbound I-435.
- NEW: Crews will reduce westbound I-435 to ONE LANE from approximately Grandview Road to 104th Street.
- NEW: Crews will close southbound I-435 at southbound I-49/I-470.
- Southbound U.S. 71/I-49 to westbound I-435 will remain open.
This work is expected to cause additional traffic delays throughout the area of Three Trails Crossing/the Grandview Triangle. All work is weather permitting.
