Traffic Alert: Various Lane closures continued on Missouri Route 1

Crews will continue repairs on Missouri Route 1. This work will require various lane closures on Route 1 from Missouri Route 210 to south of Interstate 35. One lane will remain open at all times. This project will require a flagging operation and motorists should expect delays in the area. All work is weather permitting.

The following lane closures are expected from beginning at 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sept. 6-Sept 9. While the work below was originally scheduled for the weeks of Aug. 22 and Aug. 29, crews have started on the work listed below and started work on other parts of the project, including ADA improvements. This additional work has not required any lane closures. 

Route 1 from south of I-35 to Parvin Road: The southbound lane of Route 1 will be closed from south of I-35 to Parvin Road. Once work is completed in the southbound lane, crews will move to the northbound lane of Route 1 from south of I-35 to Parvin Rd.

Route 1 from Parvin Road to Route 210: The southbound lane of Route 1 will be closed from Parvin Road to Route 210. Once work is completed in the southbound lane, crews will move to the northbound lane of Route 1 from Parvin Rd. to Route 210.

This work is part of the Route 1 resurfacing project, which will improve roadway safety on Route 1 from Route 210 to south of I-35. The work area is approximately 2 miles in length. Additional notifications about closures and traffic impacts will be sent my MoDOT as they become available. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
