JACKSON COUNTY – Crews have updated their plans regarding the bridge joint expansion repairs beginning tomorrow, Aug. 31. Crews will closing the following areas beginning at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. These closures are for bridge expansion joint repairs over the Blue River. Motorists are encouraged to use I-49 or I-470 as a detour back to westbound I-435. All work is weather permitting.
- Crews will close the two right lanes of westbound Interstate 435 from approximately Grandview Road to 104th Street.
- Crews will close the ramp from southbound U.S. 71 (I-49) to westbound I-435.
- Crews will close the ramp from Bannister Rd. to westbound I-435.
This work is expected to cause additional traffic delays on westbound I-435, the southbound U.S. 71 ramp to westbound I-435, the northbound I-49 ramp to westbound I-435, and westbound I-470 ramp to westbound I-435.
