St. Joseph, Mo. – A project to improve drainage on Loop 29 (Pear Street) in St. Joseph will soon close the roadway. Contractors from BRS Construction, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, are scheduled to close Pear Street between 29th and 30th streets to through traffic beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 6 a.m. through Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 6 a.m. in order to install a new culvert pipe under the roadway.
During the closure, motorists will need to use an alternate route. All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
