St. Joseph, Mo. – The Double-decker bridge on Interstate 229, along the west side of St. Joseph, is now open. The bridge and all ramps between U.S. Route 36 and Highland Avenue had closed for an annual bridge inspection and signal and lighting repairs earlier this week. Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation were able to complete all work ahead of schedule, reopening a day early.
