The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. to complete the resurfacing of U.S. Route 24 from U.S. Route 65 in Carrollton to 1.5 miles east of Route 41, near DeWitt, which was originally planned to begin Monday, Aug. 8.

The contractor began patching on U.S. Route 24 today, Wednesday, Aug. 24 and plans to begin the resurfacing overlay on Sept. 12. All work should be complete by Oct. 15.

During the patching and overlay, one lane may be closed during daylight hours, Monday through Saturday, and a 12-foot width restriction will be in place.

All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
