ST. LOUIS – Good news for drivers who use Big Bend in Kirkwood and Crestwood. The Big Bend bridge over I-44 in that area will reopen to traffic on Monday, August 15.
Crews will open one lane in each direction as well as the lanes to turn left onto the interstate before evening rush, weather permitting.
Work continues around the bridge to finish work on sidewalks, the outside barrier wall and other various tasks before the project is complete. The left lane on I-44 in each direction will also remain closed so crews can complete median barrier and drainage work.
The project is projected to be finished in November.
