Crews will complete striping operations on Interstate 635 from 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 until 6 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14. This work will require several ramp closures including the ramp northbound I-635 to northbound I-29, the ramp northbound Missouri Route 9 to northbound I-635, and the ramp southbound Route 9 to northbound I-635. In addition, northbound I-635 will be closed past the Route 9 interchange.
This work is part of a larger project to make improvements to I-635 from the Missouri River to I-29. Improvements include resurfacing, guardrail replacement, pavement marking, and signal installation.
Crews are also working on a separate project to replace the I-29 bridge over Route AA and I-635 NB to I-29 SB is also closed. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
