ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Rail maintenance will close Route 41 in Carroll County, between County Road 270 and County Road 280. Contractors for the railroad have notified the Missouri Department of Transportation that a 48-hour closure is planned between Thursday, Aug. 18 and Friday, Aug. 26. At this time, it is not known exactly when within that window the two-day closure will occur. The railroad contractor has posted message boards near the railroad crossing to alert motorists of the upcoming closure. When a more specific timeframe is known, the message boards will be updated.
Motorists should plan an alternate route to use during the closure.
