Construction completed at Missouri Route A and 112th Street

MoDOT has completed improvements at Missouri Route A and 112th street as of Monday, Aug. 8. This project added southbound and northbound left turn lanes and a northbound right turn lane at the intersection of Route A and 112th Street in Clay County. Improvements were also made to sight distance on Route A just north of the intersection. The project began in Spring 2022 and was completed ahead of the scheduled Fall 2022 completion date. The project was funded by MoDOT and cost approximately $1 million to complete.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
