ST. LOUIS – Various ramps will be closed for short periods at the Interstate 44 interchange at Big Bend in Kirkwood/Crestwood through Sunday morning. Crews will be removing and replacing asphalt on the ramps as part of the work, nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Drivers who regularly use Old Halls Ferry Road to access eastbound I-270 should be aware that the entrance ramp will close for two weeks beginning Monday, August 15 at 9 p.m. The closure will allow crews to build an entrance ramp that aligns with the new lanes on eastbound
I-270. Construction of the ramp should be complete in 14 days, weather permitting.
During the closure, signed detours will direct travelers to drive south on Old Halls Ferry Road, turn left onto Chambers Road to travel eastbound to Route 367, before turning left onto Route 367 and traveling northbound to the eastbound I-270 entrance ramp.
