ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Work on the Harrison County Route A bridge rehabilitation project has been delayed by one night and is now expected to close Interstate 35 beneath the bridge beginning Tuesday night, Aug. 9. Contractors from Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to close the interstate at Exit 99, between Bethany and Eagleville, from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, through 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10.
During the closure, interstate traffic will be rerouted up and over both north and southbound ramps. Motorists can expect delays. All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
MoDOT asks drivers to work with us by always buckling up, keeping your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones. Know before you go and check what work zones you might encounter at traveler.modot.org.
