Contract Awarded for Railroad Crossing Improvements in Lebanon

JEFFERSON CITY – At its regular monthly meeting Wednesday, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC) approved repairs to a railroad crossing along a high-traveled roadway in Lebanon.

The MHTC awarded the contract for the repairs at the Route 5 (Jefferson Avenue) railroad crossing to H.R. Quadri Contractors, which submitted the low bid of $690,823.

The work will consist of repairs to the railroad crossing, as well as pavement replacement between Commercial Street and Pierce Street in Lebanon.

The project is scheduled to begin later this summer, with work to be completed by the end of the year. When a precise start date is established, MoDOT will alert the public with updates through signs, news releases and social media.
