FRANKLIN COUNTY – Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will close the Route 47 bridge over Interstate 44 in St. Clair, MO beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, August 5 for demolition of the eastern half of the bridge, weather permitting. The demolition is expected to be completed by 5 a.m. Monday, August 8.
During the demolition, I-44 will be reduced to one lane in each direction and re-routed up and over the ramps at Route 47. The eastbound I-44 on-ramp will be open to re-direct I-44 traffic.
Motorists wishing to use the Route 47 bridge will be detoured to Route 30.
