TRAFFIC ALERT: Bates County Route U CLOSED West of Foster for Resurfacing Aug. 8-11

Where: Bates County Route U between Bates County Route V and Southwest County Road 2788 west of Foster

When: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Thursday, August 8-11

What: Route U CLOSED to allow MoDOT crews to remove deteriorating asphalt and replace with new layer of asphalt

Traffic Impacts:

  • All lanes of Route U CLOSED for four-mile stretch between Bates County Route V and Southwest County Road 2788 west of Foster
  • All Route U lanes OPEN during nighttime hours
  • No signed detour
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone
  • Drivers should find alternate route
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
