Francis Street ramp to I-229 to close next week

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The ramp from Francis Street to Interstate 229 in St. Joseph will close next week as part of the project to rehabilitate bridges along I-229. Constractors from PCiRoads, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will close the Francis Street Ramp and narrow I-229 to one lane between Highland and St. Joseph Avenues on Monday, Aug. 8, between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.

During this closure, motorists will need to use an alternate route. All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

MoDOT asks drivers to work with us by always buckling up, keeping your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones. Know before you go and check what work zones you might encounter at traveler.modot.org.

While at modot.org, sign up online for work zone updates. Information is also available 24/7 at 888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636) or via social media.
