U.S. Route 24 in Chariton County to narrow near Brunswick

Palmer Creek Bridge deck replacement project

ST. JOSEPH, Mo – A bridge deck replacement project on U.S. Route 24 in Chariton County, west of Route MM near Brunswick, is scheduled to begin soon. Crews from Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will begin shoulder work at the Palmer Creek Bridge on Monday, Aug. 1.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 8, crews will narrow U.S. Route 24 to one lane at the bridge. Temporary traffic signals will be in place to guide motorists through the work zone. This single-lane work zone is expected to remain in place through Nov. 25, when the project is expected to be complete.

All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
