Shelby County Route N to Close for Drainage Work

HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, August 1, MoDOT will close Shelby County Route N at the North Fork of the Salt River, from CRD 312 to CRD 318,  north of Lentner, for drainage improvements at this location.

The road will be closed each day, Monday through Friday, between 7a.m. and 5 p.m. with an anticipated completion date of August 8.

“The work will include the installation of drainage tile along Route N to help floodwaters recede from low lying areas of the roadway,” explained Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Jeff Kroner.  “This work will not prevent future flooding at this location but it will help floodwaters recede from the roadway, reducing the closure time of Route N’,” he added

The contract was awarded to Klocke Inc. of Palmyra, Missouri. In the amount of $63,000.
