Andrew/Buchanan County Route K resurfacing project to begin next week

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – A resurfacing project on Andrew and Buchanan County Route K is scheduled to begin Monday, July 18. Herzog Contracting Corp., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will resurface Route K from Interstate 29, north of Amazonia (Andrew County) to U.S. Route 59 in St. Joseph (Buchanan County).

Crews will begin Monday by milling down the current roadway surface and plan to begin resurfacing on Friday, July 22, followed by shoulder and guardrail work. The project is expected to be complete in late August. During construction, motorists will be directed through the one-lane work zone by flaggers. Crews will be present during daylight hours.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
