Henry County – The Henry County Route N bridge over East Fork Honey Creek north of Clinton will be CLOSED for up to 30 days for rehabilitation work starting the week of July 18, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Contractor crews will remove the expansion joints on the bridge deck/driving surface and replace them with a high-strength concrete to prevent water, salt and other elements from doing further damage to the bridge. Expansion joints allow the concrete to expand and contract with changes in the weather.
Traffic Impacts:
- All lanes of Henry County Route N CLOSED for up to 30 days where crews are working
- Drivers will have access to entrances on either side of the bridge, but will not be able to drive through the work zone
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
- No signed detour
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes to avoid work zone
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or scheduling delays will alter the work schedule.
The bridge was built in 1964 and carries approximately 90 vehicles per day.
