HANNIBAL - Monroe County Route U at Missouri Route 107, near Florida, is now open. Contractor crews for Emery Sapp & Sons have completed work on embankment slide repairs and multiple culvert replacements, just in time for the Independence holiday weekend.
"Our contractor has worked diligently on this project and has completed work nearly one month ahead of schedule,” expressed Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Jeff Kroner. “We appreciate the patience of those who have been affected by the construction,” he added.
There will be minor finish work next week which will require the roadway to be reduced to one lane for part of a day while crews complete these items including clean up and roadside work.
