SCHEDULE CHANGE: Lane closures scheduled for portions of I-70 and U.S. 40 next week

 

JACKSON COUNTY – Crews have rescheduled pavement repairs along a variety of routes in Jackson County next week. Work will now be beginning on Wednesday, June 29. All work is weather permitting.

  • Crews will close two lanes of northbound and southbound Sterling Ave. from approximately Interstate 70 to U.S. 40 beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, until 5 a.m. the following morning. Traffic will be shifted to the center turn lanes.
  • Crews will also close two lanes of eastbound and westbound U.S. 40 between Moore St. and Adams Dairy Parkway beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, until 5 a.m. the following morning. Traffic will be shifted to the center turn lanes.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
