Buchanan County I-229 and Route 759 ramp closure extended into next week

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The two entrance/exit ramps at Interstate 229 and Route 759 (Stockyards Expressway) were scheduled to reopen today, June 22, but will remain closed into next week due to additional joint and surface repairs. Crews plan to open the ramp from southbound I-229 to southbound Stockyards Expressway on Monday, June 27. The reopening date of the ramp from northbound Route 759 to northbound I-229 is unknown as this time.

The ramps closed earlier this month as part of a bridge rehabilitation project along I-229 led by contractors from PCiRoads, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation.
