SIKESTON - Missouri Route 162 in New Madrid County will be closed as contractor crews replace two bridges, one over Ditch No. 1 and the other over Ditch No. 251.
This section of roadway is located between Route B South and Route B North, near Portageville, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work will begin Tuesday, Feb. 15, with completion anticipated Monday, August 15.
The bridges are included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged seek an alternate route.
