REMINDER: Lane and ramp closures scheduled for both directions of I-670 this weekend

Expect delays

JACKSON COUNTY – MoDOT will be making both pavement and bridge deck repairs along a portion of Interstate 670 this weekend beginning on Friday, June 10 that will require the closure of various and lanes and ramps. Motorists are advised to plan ahead, allow for extra time, or seek an alternate route if possible. All work is weather permitting.

Eastbound I-670

  • Crews will be CLOSING the left lane of the northbound U.S. 71 bridge over 12th Street in the southeast corner of the downtown loop beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 10, until approximately 5 a.m. on Monday, June 13, for urgent bridge deck repairs
    • This lane closure will cause significant delays in the area due to the its location. This lane closure is located right after the ramp where eastbound I-670 joins northbound U.S. 71. Rather than having their own lane, traffic on the I-670 ramp will need to merge into the traffic along northbound U.S. 71. Additionally, this ramp is part of the detour route for the Buck O’Neil bridge replacement

Westbound I-670

  • Crews will CLOSE the left two lanes of westbound I-670 at approximately Summit St. beginning at approximately 11 p.m. on Friday, June 10, through 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 11.
  • Crews will also CLOSE the left two lanes of westbound I-670 at approximately Grand Ave. beginning at approximately 11 p.m. on Friday, June 10, through 6 a.m. June 11.
    • During this time, the following ramps will also be closed:
      • The ramp from southbound U.S. 71 to westbound I-670.
      • The ramp from northbound U.S. 71 to westbound I-670.
      • The ramp from 10th St. to southbound U.S. 71/I-70.
