Lane Closure Next Week on Westbound Route 50 Bridge at Osage River

JEFFERSON CITY – Weather permitting, contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will set up a safe span to perform work under the westbound U.S. Route 50 bridge over the Osage River east of Jefferson City.

The work will close one westbound lane of Route 50, beginning Monday, May 23. The lane will be closed and the speed limit will be reduced through Friday, May 27.

Traffic delays are possible in the work zone between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. MoDOT appreciates the patience of motorists and encourages all drivers to stay focused on the road, obey all traffic signs, and watch for workers on the road.

The work is part of an overall project to rehabilitate the eastbound and westbound Route 50 bridges over the Osage River and the eastbound Route 50 bridge over the Moreau River. More information is available at www.modot.org/OsageMoreauBridgeRehabs.

The work is weather permitting and could be delayed. For more information about these project or other transportation-related matters, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.org/central.
