MoDOT to close WB I-44 ramp to Broadway starting Tuesday

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who regularly use the ramp from westbound Interstate 44 to Broadway as they head south into the city of St. Louis will need to find an alternate route next week when crews close the ramp for two days.

Crews will close the ramp from westbound I-44 to Broadway (Exit 292B) starting at 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 17 to place equipment for foundation work on the new ramp from the express lanes to Broadway.  The ramp will remain closed around-the-clock until 6 a.m. Thursday, May 19.

Drivers can use the ramp from eastbound I-70 to Tucker (Exit 249B) or the ramp from westbound I-44 to Convention Plaza and the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge (Exit 292A) as alternate routes into the city of St. Louis downtown.

All eastbound and westbound I-44 lanes will remain open. The I-70 express lanes will remain closed through September.  All work is weather permitting.
