Night time pavement sweeping operation along U.S. 71 tonight April 27

JACKSON COUNTY – In coordination with the City of Kansas City, MoDOT will be performing a sweeping operation along both directions of U.S. 71 between Truman Rd. and Blue Ridge Blvd. tonight, Wednesday, April 27. This work will be done overnight between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. This work could cause delays for motorists in the area. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
