Work Schedule Change: Look for pavement work on US 169 in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has adjusted the work schedule as part of pavement repair work along US 169 in Clay County.

Crews will reduce northbound and southbound US 169 Highway to one lane between Owens Ave. and 200th St. from 6:30 p.m. until 6:30 a.m., nightly, from Tuesday, April 19 and continuing through Monday, May 9 for pavement repair work.

A flagging operation will be in place to help direct traffic. A pilot car will also be utilized to help direct traffic in the work zone.

*Note: Originally, crews were scheduled to work from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., nightly.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
