Davis-Bacon labor standards

BACKGROUND:  Regarding Davis-Bacon labor standards, the Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division (WHD) describes this effort as “the first comprehensive regulatory review in nearly 40 years,” and WHD “believes that revisions to these regulations are needed to provide greater clarity and enhance their usefulness in the modern economy.”

The latest information regarding the NPRM may be found on WHD’s NPRM webpage.  On March 11, WHD issued a news release, which includes a brief summary of proposed changes.

Information about FHWA’s current Davis-Bacon and Related Acts requirements may be found here:  https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/construction/cqit/dbacon.cfm.   If you have any questions regarding FHWA’s current Davis-Bacon requirements, please contact Jim DeSanto.
