UPDATE: Ramp from eastbound U.S. Route 36 to southbound Interstate 229 is open

Ramp closure now scheduled to begin April 7

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – As part of a bridge rehabilitation project along Interstate 229, the ramp from eastbound U.S. Route 36 to southbound I-229 was scheduled to close yesterday, March 16. That closure has been rescheduled and will now begin April 7 and continue for approximately two weeks. During the closure motorists will be directed to continue east on U.S. Route 36 to 22nd Street where they will loop around and travel west to access the ramp to southbound I-229.

The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with PCiRoads, LLC to complete the bridge rehabilitation project. All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
