ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – A resurfacing project will begin soon on Putnam County Route E. The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted with Magruder Paving, LLC to complete the project which includes multiple other routes (see below).
The contractor plans to begin Monday, March 21, with resurfacing on Putnam County Route E between U.S. Route 136 and the Iowa state line. Work on Route E is expected to take approximately one week. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone.
Workers will be present during daylight hours, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place for the duration of the project, which is scheduled to be complete in late May.
All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
Other routes in this resurfacing bundle and their approximate start date include:
- March 28 - Route 149 from Route 6 in Novinger (Adair County) to Route AA in Putnam County
- April 18 - Route K from U.S. Route 136 in Putnam County to Route E in Sullivan County
- Route T in Sullivan County from Route 5 to Route C – IN PROGRESS. Expected completion on or before March 21.
- Route Y in Grundy and Mercer counties – COMPLETED in 2021
- Route E in Grundy and Linn counties – COMPLETED in 2021
