ST. LOUIS - The first day of spring is less than two weeks away, but winter is not finished just yet. Drizzle overnight turning into accumulating snow is expected tomorrow morning through late afternoon. Tomorrow’s morning commute could be difficult. The Missouri Department of Transportation urges drivers to be aware of changing road conditions both where they are and where they are going.
“Our crews are ready for this storm and will be fully staffed overnight through late tomorrow evening. The heaviest snow is predicted to start in the St. Louis area around 6 a.m. tomorrow morning and crews will have treatment on the roads before then,” said District Maintenance Engineer Bob Becker. “Though the pavement temperatures will be above freezing most of the night, there could still be some slick spots on the roads in the morning.”
MoDOT crews will begin around-the-clock operations late this evening and will continue until roads are in mostly clear condition. Please slow down and be cautious of road crews and emergency vehicles and give them room to work.
